OAK STAIR TREADS with a Deep Cherry Stain

Check out the amazing job Darryl did in stripping the carpet off his old stairs and recovering them with solid oak stair treads that he had stained a deep cherry colour. And from the sounds of it this represented only a tiny part of the overall renovation project.
I think he's done a pretty amazing job and the really great part is that he's added real long term value to his home at the same time. Sweat equity is a great thing :) .. I keep trying to convince my kids of this .. Karen
Hi Karen... Here are the before.. .. That was before I repaired all the damage to the walls (We raised our house), painted etc.. But then there's a few you can see with the construction grade steps after we painted..
And here are the After pics... We chose a reddish cherry finish with the stringers just white... Was ALOT of work especially with the stringers and the ledge you see that just used to all be carpet.. But WELL WELL worth it! Let me know what ya think considering it was a Do it Yourself Project. I think it turned out great and we are REALLY happy..
