WOOD MOULDINGS: Door Jambs & Misc.Mouldings
Most of these mouldings are carried in stock in oak and a great wood for painting and a few are available in maple, birch and bits and pieces of exotic woods. On special order we are able to manufacturer most of them in almost any type of wood, as long as we can get the wood and you don't mind waiting :)
#2450 4 9/16" Jambs (sold by the foot or the set)
SIZE: 3/4" x 4 9/16"
-set includes 2 pieces 7' & 1 piece 3', other header sizes
can be made up on order.
Application: used for framing a doorway. Standard construction with 2x4 walls creates a finished width of 3 1/2" + 1/2" + 1/2" (drywall on each side) = 4 1/2" .. so we make it a hair wider at 4 9/16" . For a door you then need two pieces 7' long and a shorter piece across the top.
If you phone ahead we make these sets up to fit whatever size opening you have.

Size: 3/4" x 6 5/8"
-sold as a set including 2 pieces 7' & 1 piece 3', other header sizes
can be made up on order.
Application: Used where the wall is 2x6 instead of 2x4 so you need 5 1/2" + 1/2" + 1/2" for drywall = 6 1/2"

#1510 Panel Moulding
Size: 1/2" x 1"
Application: most often used under the lip of a tread or nosing.
#1520 Panel Moulding
Size: 3/8" x 1 1/4"
Application: most often down the front side of a tread to trim the corner where the plywood risers and stringer meet.
#1521 Panel Moulding
Size: 3/8" x 1 5/8"
#1730 Back Band
Size: 3/4" x 1 3/16"
Rabbet: 1/4" x 3/4"
Application: trimming off the outside edge of a square casing.
#1700 Raised Panel Moulding
